"Dot Pictures"

Based on Rolie Polie Olie

Georges Seurat was an artist that used dots of paint to create his famous artwork.

Materials:
White or colored paper to paint on, cotton swabs, washable tempera paint, muffin tin or paper plate (for your color palette)

Instructions:
Think of what you want to paint: flowers, people, houses, animals, fish, the ocean…use your imagination. You may want to draw lightly with a pencil first. Pour a little paint into the muffin tin or you can leave the paint in their containers if is easy to use that way. Begin by gently dipping the end of the cotton swab into the color you want to use first. Gently press the end of the swab on to the paper. Continue adding color to the area you are working on. When you want to change color, get a new swab to work with. Keep adding color and pretty soon you will have beautiful painting made completely with dots of color!
