The NCCIL will be closed from December 23rd through January 1st in observance of Christmas and the Holiday Season. We hope to see you back in our Gallery next week. Come in and enjoy the warmth while viewing the beautiful art of illustrator Rafael Lopez. Join us this weekend for a special Family Fun Saturday! Wylie High School Theatre will be presenting "Maybe Something Beautiful," inspired by NCCIL exhibit artist Rafael Lopez. The showcase will take place every 15 minutes, beginning at 10:15. The final showtime is 11:45. Our family fun art project will take place during this time as well.
PLEASE NOTE: The NCCIL will close early at 12:30PM on Saturday, October 19th.

Children of all ages have the chance to create with award winning illustrator Rafael López during the special and intimate artist workshop. López will sign books, discuss his art, and lead children through a fine art project inspired by his own techniques.

The NCCIL is teaming up with Premiere Cinema 10 at the Mall of Abilene to host an exciting movie premiere in honor of NCCIL illustrator and former CALF honoree Peter Brown and his book, The Wild Robot. Brown’s book will take to the big screen on September 27th. The NCCIL will host a costume contest, a coloring contest, and will have books available for purchase at the theatre.
Time is TBD once show times are released.
MEMBERS: During opening weekend, NCCIL members can receive a small box of popcorn with the purchase of a drink when they show their membership card. Only at Premiere Cinema 10 at the Mall of Abilene.
The NCCIL is excited to partner with Premiere Cinema 10 in the Mall of Abilene to present a special Coloring Contest, in honor of Peter Brown’s book The Wild Robot that is set to take to the big screen on September 27th.
1. Pick Up the image from the NCCIL at 102 Cedar beginning September 12th or Premiere Cinema 10 at the Mall of Abilene beginning September 24th.
2. Download the image from nccil.org beginning September 17th.
3. Drop Off the colored image at the NCCIL at 102 Cedar or Premiere Cinema 10 at the Mall of Abilene from September 24th to October 5.
4. Winners will be contacted via phone or email by October 15.
